Young American goalkeeper Jeff Gal, has left Lidkopings FK for BK Forward, signs a 2 year contract
Missed this back in mid-March.....Information about lower league football in Sweden is hard to come by, but through supportive family social media postings there are news bits that you would otherwise miss.
OK..... so Jeff Gal, 24 years old goalkeeper, who hails from Bartlett, Ill. played for Lidkopings FK in Sweden's Division 2 - Norra Gotaland last season, and moved to BK Forward in Norra Svealand for this season. Jeff attended Creighton before transferring to UVA, then left UVA for Sweden 2 years ago and had success with Lidkopings, before his transfer to BK Forward. Jeff has already played in the season opener for BK Forward, rewarding his new team with a clean sheet, in a 1 - 0 win over Karlslunds. A sign of good stuff ahead
