WEEKEND WRAP: Friday/Saturday/Sunday - Features 10 Goals, 5 Shut Outs and an Assist

Not a bad weekend for our guys. With a number of smaller leagues completed, a fair number of our regular 'goal-scorers' are finished till next season, so 10 goals is a good harvest. We can always expect a handful of shut outs from our goalkeeper corp (only the country's change) this week Ireland and Japan, get the nod. I didn't see the Frankfurt/Bayern game, but by all report's Timothy Chandler played an exceptional game and got the mention for an assist.

In Sweden, Adam Kelemet and Sandvikens win Division 2 (Norrland) and will play in Division 1 next year. Congrats to them. The races for Euro spots, Promotion and Relegation are really heating up across Scandinavia - we will know who goes where over the next few weeks.

Andrew Stadler was an unused sub as Ostersunds visited AIK Copenhagen in Sweden's Allsvenskan and lost 2 - 0

In Norway's Tippeligaen, GK Alex Horwath (in18/DNP) and Brann lost a really important game today as they fell at home to cellar dweller Lillstrom 1 - 2 . A win today would have put space between them and the #3 team Odd, after today they are tied for 2nd with Odd and Molde just 3 points back - all 3 fighting for 2 Europa League spots. With only 3 games left, next weeks match with 3rd place Molde is critical for both teams if they have dreams of Europe next season.

With Lillstrom winning over Brann today Stabaek slip down 1 spot into automatic relegation, with 3 games left (2 x home) not an easy task with Molde on the horizon, #6 Sarpsborg and Start making the 3 remaining fixtures.
