WEEKEND WRAP: 3-24: Friday, Saturday & Sunday - Markedly Reduce Number of Games

If you like to track US Players in the world's lower leagues - well, this is a weekend for you. With the International Break upon us, there were only a few games to track this week, only 1 goal - Jordan Siebatcheu, continues to find success at Chateauroux in France with his 6th goal in 6 games played. Goalkeepers were just a quiet as everyone else, with only Josh Wicks with a shut-out for Sirius, and that was in a friendly. Next week Sweden kicks-off its season so it should provide some fun stats. That's that for this weekend - read on

FRIDAY

Jordan Siebatcheu Scored Chateauroux' 3rd goal as they traveled to Consolat in France's National League and won 1 - 3 (That's 6 goals in 6 matches for his new (loan) club) Chateauroux now #2 in the league

Oscar Ortiz left the game at 88 minutes following 2 Red Cards by the home team, SC Feucht, as they drop points at home in 0 - 1 defeat by DJK Ammerthal in Oberliga (Bayern Nord)

GK Danny Rogers was an unused sub as Falkirk visited Hibernian in Scotland's Championship and lost 2 - 1 - why you would bench your starting GK, when you are playing at the #1 team defeats me (maybe its injury?) Falkirk are still #2 on GD, and still look a safe bet for a promotional play-off spot

WEEKEND WRAP: 3-10: Friday, Saturday & Sunday - A Not So Good Weekend!

Not much to get excited about this weekend (IMHO) good to see Josh Perez get another goal, Rubio Rubin score his first in Denmark, and of course Bobby Wood's game winner for Hamburg. Other than those few instances our guys were not on the form of last week, for sure. It just feels that the 'unused sub' delineation was over used this weekend, and shortened playing time really were the main points of our players. We had 2 red carded players Ryan Malone in Germany and John Neeskens in Spain - oh blah! No Shut-outs this weekend, but Tim Murray played well in Finland helping Honka through to the quarter finals of Suomen Cup, and Danny Rogers almost got the clean sheet for Falkirk.......enough, to the list

Short version

WEEKEND WRAP: 3-3, Friday, Saturday & Sunday - 12 Goals, 2 Assists & 3 Shut-Outs

A weekend sandwich, little to cheer about on Friday and Sunday, with a massive day on Saturday. Not to belittle Friday's two goal game from Etchu Tabe, a single goal from a defender is usually reason to cheer, but two?
Then there was Saturday. In Germany Fabian Johnson gets 2 goals and Christian Pulisic gets another, making it the first time Americans had 3 goals Bundesliga on the same day (really?) Overall 10 of the 12 goals scored by Americans came on Saturday. Christian Eissele scored a Hat-Trick for the 2nd time in 3 weeks (last time he actually scored 4) and is the top goal scorer in Finland's Suomen Cup. In Bosnia,  Ismar Tandir scored a PK - his first goal for his new team, and Debutant Mason Robertson scored for Stenhousemuir in Scotland. On the Keeper front, Tim Murray had a Shut-out on his debut in Finland and Malcolm Little came off the bench for his injured peer and saved the day in Germany's lower leagues. Finally, Christian Pulisic added an assist, and Danny Williams got the assist for Reading in their win (whew)
Sunday? well not a whole lot, good news for Bobby Wood's Hamburg, with a massive win over Hertha, Chris Thorsheim made his debut with Nykobing in Denmark and Alex De John debuted with Sweden's Dalkurd.
