WEEKEND WRAP: Friday/Saturday/Sunday - Yes There Were a Few Games This Weekend!!!

With the International Break, there is not a whole lot of action happening this next week or so. Still, this weekend has not been a total loss. Many of the smaller leagues are still having competitive games especially in Sweden, Denmark & Germany. We had 3 goals in competitive games and 1 in a friendly, no assists, as far as I can see, and we had a shut out in Ireland. OK lets get to the list, as usual short list first, then the full following........

The short list

GOALS
Andrew Wooten (Germany)

Ryan Malone (Germany)
Sasa Plavsic (Sweden)
Jochen Graf (Sweden)

SHUT OUT
Ciaran Nugent (Ireland)

The full/comprehensive list

Jamil Fearington (90) and Bronshoj looked in good shape as they scored after a minute leaving opponents Avarta shocked. But Avarta was not going to let that stop them today, scoring 3 unanswered goals in the first half, as Bronshoj fall 1 - 3 in Denmark Division 2 (Group 1)

  1. Isn't Sasa Plavsic Canadian & not American? I see a couple of aggregate sites that say he is American, but leave off his Canadian citizenship. He's never played in the US & even played college ball in Canada. http://www.ufvcascades.ca/2014/12/alumni-spotlight-former-cascades-star-plavsic-climbing-pro-soccer-ladder-in-sweden/

    1. You are correct, based on where you look - nationality is all over the place...USA/Canada/Serbia/Croatia. I have followed Sasa for about 5 years and always erred on the side of USA. I have tried a couple of times to reach out to Sasa - but have not been able to hook up. Its probably time to try again :)
