WEEKEND WRAP: Saturday 4/9/2016 Features 6 Goals - But Not From Where You Think

So another busy Saturday Wrap. Crunch time in many leagues, and first games in others. Today we had 6 goals by Americans, although none came in games, leagues where you would expect. So nice surprises. Most enjoyable of all, Emerson Hyndman gets his first club goal at any level for Fulham, and he got it in extra-time (90+3) to give Fulham the win (OH! and its his 20th Birthday). We had a goal in Sweden, Eddy Prugh's first of the season. Bryan Gaul (yup ex LAG) scored his first goal for Bahlinger in Germany, and another in Germany from Alassane Kane. We also had goals in Slovakia, Nermin Crnkic and Luxembourg Omar Ontiveros. Goal Keepers had a mixed day, Daniel Schmidt(Japan) and Josh Wicks (Sweden) had shut-outs, but Cody Cropper (England) was punished and Brad Guzan and Paul Rachubka (England) are probably relegated.

So here's the full list;

GK Daniel Schmidt started, went 90 and got the shut-out as Yamaga beat Tokushima in Japan's J-League 2

In Germany Liga2, Shawn Barry started, went 90 as Frankfurt visited Bochum in a bit of a lop-sided game with Bochum winning 4 - 1

Seems to be the score to get today in Liga2. Andrew Wooten and Sandhausen hosted Bielefeld, both teams in mid-table. Andrew went 90 minutes as Sandhausen falls 1 - 4.

In Ukraine Premier League, Eugene Starikov, was in the 18 (DNP) for Ch. Odessa as they won their home game 1 - 0 over Hoverla Uzhhorod.

In Sweden Division 2 Norrland, Eddy Prugh and Bodens opened up their season and things started well, with Eddy Scoring Bodens first goal against visitors Valbo. Unfortunately Bodens gave up a 2 goal lead and had to settle for a 2 - 2 draw

In Germany's 3Liga, Marc Heider came off the bench at 68th minute for Kiel as they visited Dresden and came away with a point in a goalless draw.

Devante Parker started for Mainz II as they hosted Fortuna Koln and lost 0 - 1

Joel Sonora played the first half for Stuttgart II as they faced off with Aalen, a late Stuttgart II goal saved a defeat, as the game ended in a 1 - 1 draw

Royal-Dominique Fennell, started and went the 90 minutes for Wurzburger as they beat Stuttgarter Kickers 2 - 1

In Regionalliga Sudwest, ex LAG Bryan Gaul defender, Scored his first goal for Bahlinger in his first game as they went on to thump Neckarelz 5 - 0

Dylan Romney, in 18 (DNP) as Savona visited Rimini, in Italy Lega Pro (Group B) Savona won 0 - 1, but its probably to late for them to save their season and relegation looks on the horizon

In Finland Veikkausliiga, Christian Eissele came of the bench at 70th minute, but by then it was to late for Kemi, as they fall at home to SJK in the first league game of the season for both teams

Also in Veikkausliiga, Brian Span went 90 for Mariehamn as they hosted Will John and Rovaniemi - Will came of the bench at 69th minute - Mariehamn won this one 1 - 0

Ingolstadt and Alfredo Morales (in 18, DNP) welcomed M'Gladbach(#4) and Fabian Johnson (started went 78) and won 1 - 0. A lost opportunity to make up ground on Hertha(#3) M'Gladbach now in a battle with Leverkusen for the UCL final spot

In England EPL, Brad Guzan and Aston Villa lose again, 1 - 2 to Bournemouth, and are basically relegated - no news on Guzan's future yet, but it probably won't be long.

Matt Miazga only lasted one half, picked up a yellow as Chelsea fall 0 - 1 at Swansea

As expected, Tim Howard remained on the bench for Everton, as they visited Watford in a 1 - 1 draw

GK Paul Rachubka was in 18 (DNP) as Bolton lose 4 - 1 at Derby, and will now plan for League One football next season

Emerson Hyndman SCORED (his first senior level club goal) the Extra Time winner for Fulham as they hosted Cardiff. That's 3 wins in a row for Fulham who are now safe in the English Championship. Emerson has scored for the US20 & US23

It has not been good for Cody Cropper and MK Don's since he was named starting GK. Today's 0 - 4 loss to fellow strugglers Rotherham did not help as they are now likely to be relegated from the Championship

Two early goals doomed Reading and Danny Williams (90) as they hosted Birmingham and Jonathan Spector (in 18, DNP) and fell 0 - 2. Neither team is in a Promotion race or Relegation battle

Adam Henley, in 18 (DNP) for Blackburn as they visited Wolves in a goalless draw
