WEEKEND WRAP: Sunday 4/10/2016 - Features 2 More Goals

Not as busy as yesterday, but two goals from Americans. One in Germany and one in Sweden - and both won the game for their teams. Devan Yao, who seems a little on again/off again this season, came on with 15 minutes left in a 1 - 1 game and scored after 4 minutes. Andrew Stadler started for his team Ostersunds in Sweden and scored their 2nd goal, as they held on for their first win of the young season and away from home. Usually safe keeper Matt Pyzdrowski had a horrendous day, letting in 5. Paul Torres got his debut in at Sirius, even though it was only for a few minutes. Christian Pulisic started for Dortmund, and according to reports had a lively 73 minutes, before being subbed.

There's more,  lets get to the list;

Babajide Ogunbiyi and Hobro lost their game to Aalborg 0 - 2 in the Danish Superliga. Hobro are assured 2nd tier play next season as they are to far adrift for survival

Caleb Stanko, in 18 (DNP) for Freiburg as the beat St Pauli and Fafa Picault, who came off the bench at 79, in a game that showed little defense 4 - 3

Devan Yao Scored (#2)BAK 07's winning goal as they hosted (#1) Zwickau in Regionalliga Nordost, making life interesting for the rest of the season - BAK 07 are 3 points off the lead with a game-in-hand. Devan came off the bench in the 75th minute and Scored 4 minutes later.

Justin Kinjo lasted just 57 minutes as Dusseldorf II visited Lotte, in Regionalliga West, and got well beaten 3 - 0

Mario Rodriguez came off the bench at 62nd minute for M'Gladbach II as they beat FC Koln II 2 - 1 in Regionalliga West

DeAndre Yedlin started, went 90 in Sunderland's 0 - 2 defeat by EPL leaders Leicester City. Sunderland's EPL survival is hanging by the slimmest of threads

Rubio Ruben was in the 18, but did not play as Utrecht beat Nijmegen in Netherlands Eredivisie, 3 - 1. Utrecht are in 4th place in Eredivisie trying to reach Europa League play next season.

GK Matt Pyzdrowski will want to forget Helsingborg's visit to Hammarby in Sweden's Allsvenskan after being beaten up 5 - 1. Helsingborg find themselves in the bottom 3 after 3 games, still early days.

Paul Torres came off the bench in the 86th minute, and Patrick Hopkins was in the 18 (DNP) for Sirius as they visited Atvidabergs in Sweden's Superettan, and came away with all 3 points in a 0 - 3 win. Sirius have won their first 2 games of the season and share first place with AFC United and Josh Wicks.

Christian Pulisic, started and went 73 as Dortmund played Schalke to a 2 - 2 draw at Schalke's Veltins Arena. The result see's Dortmund drop important points as they chase (#1)Bayern, now 7 points behind. For Schalke, they missed the opportunity to pass (#6)Mainz for the final Europa League spot. Schalke are tied with Mainz, who lead by GD.

GK Alex Horwath in the 18 today (DNP) for Bran in Norway's Tippeligaen. After 4 games Bran are the early league leaders.

In Scotland, today was the Challenge Cup Final, with Rangers and Gedion Zelalem (in 18, DNP) playing Peterhead and Kevin Dzierzawski, who went 90 and picked up a yellow. Rangers won the game 4 - 0 and add to their silverware in what is turning out to be a great season.

Geoff Cameron played the 90 for Stoke, as they were man-handled by Liverpool 4 - 1. nuff said

Andrew Stadler started and was subbed out at 73 minutes, time enough for him to Score the winner for Ostersunds as they visited Falkenbergs in Sweden's Allsvenskan - first goal for Andrew, first win for Ostersunds this season.

Alex de John, in 18 (DNP) for Start as they took on Molde and GK Ethan Horvath, in Norway's Tippeligaen. Start shocked Molde with a last gasp goal to gain a 1 - 1 draw.

AJ Soares started and went 90 for Viking as they hosted Odd in Norway. Two early goals by Odd killed off the game and Viking fell by the same number 0 - 2. Viking has 7 points from 4 games and is in the top 10 of the league - still early in the season, but losing at home is never good.
