WEEKLY WRAP: 9.4 thru 9.10.2017: Parks, Autran, Ben On Target, Hill and Gal Brick Walls in Goal

A slow start to the week, and then an explosion of activity as the International window closes. Overall I would rate this weeks action as a 5, kind of blah, but with some stellar performances.

Lets start with Keaton Parks, who had a great outing for Benfica B, scoring a goal and providing another to a team mate. It looks as though Keaton is settling in well at his new club, and certainly the fans seem to like him. Dylan Autran scored twice and basically gave his team the win as he has found his form in Finland. Jann George is on fire in Germany's 2Liga with 2 assists this week he has now accrued 3 goals and 2 assists in just 4 games. Finally, a great story out of Finland where Gerald Ben finished his 5th game at MiKi since joining them, and, he has already scored 6 times. Teaming with MiKi's other American Isaac Kannah one of them has scored in each of the last 5 games.

As for the Goalkeepers, Chris Hill has now played twice for his new club, allowed 1 goal, and today had his first shut out. For Jeff Gal in Sweden it must feel like Christmas all the time - yes another shut-out for Jeff making 11 clean sheets in the league this season in 21 matches (only 2 losses) and the likely-hood of Division 1 soccer next season.

Lets just go to the lists, the short version first, as usual........

GOALS
Isaac Kannah - Finland
Keaton Parks - Portugal
Dylan Autran (2) - Finland
Felix De Bona - Finland
Etch Tabe - Finland
Jacob Bushue - Finland
Leonard Taylor - Sweden
Gerald Ben (2) - Finland

ASSISTS

Nick Taitague - Germany

SHUT OUTS
Jeff Gal - Sweden
Craig Hill - Finland

......and the longer comprehensive list..

In Kakkonen (Group C) Jossimer Sanchez (90 + yellow) Chris Corcoran (90) and GBK faced of with TP-47 and Jordan Rouse (45) and added another away win to their belts with their 6th straight win, but it may not be enough to catch AC Kajaani who are 5 points ahead in the only promotion spot
