WEEKEND WRAP: 5-5-2017: US Players Assisting Their Teams, Goals & Shut Outs Feature

This weekend was very busy, with England cycling down, Germany peaking and most of Northern Europe, Scandinavia getting into full swing. Some names will disappear soon, and be replaced with new ones as the action moves away from the "big leagues".

This weekend we saw Ethan Horvath finally get his 1st league start in Belgium and he handled it really well, Brugge won, and Ethan was also credited with an assist. Two of our other top performing keepers had clean sheets this weekend, Jeff Gal making it an incredible 4 shut outs in 5 games in Sweden and Kris Devaux got his 3rd clean sheet of the year (2nd in league play)

Lat week we introduced a group of Americans playing in Australia, this week we are reporting a 3 Assist game by Dylan Williams, and another goal by Jalon Brown. Other goalscorers of note, Jann George exploded for a brace for Regensberg in Germany, putting his team in a relatively good spot to snag a promotional playoff spot, and also in Germany our young guns McKinzie Gaines and Weston McKennie both had goals in the U19's. Finally, every so often a special, Nermin Crnkic scored in 20 seconds for Sarajevo, which held up as the winner.

But I think that this week's story is on players that assisted on goals, I mentioned Dylan Williams and Ethan Horvath, but DeAndre Yedlin got an assist on the first Newcastle goal, which was the winner and Mix Diskerud also provided the assist on the winning goal for Goteborg in Sweden

There was a lot of action this weekend so read on......short list first
