WEEKLY WRAP: 9.11 thru 9.17.2017: Lot's of Goals - But not by Many You Know!

So, another busy week with a ton of matches all over the world...and yes to go with that we have goals (22), assists (4) and clean sheets (5). Yeah, but hold on a minute, who are these guys scoring all these goals? Well the young and unsung are putting out their skills for you. Here...2 goal games by Timothy Tillman, Gboly Ariyibi, Gregory Conrad & Ryan Malone, exceptional performances by Andrija Novakovich 2matches, 2 goals 1 assist (and a MOTM)  Jordan Siebatcheu a goal and 2 assists in 1 game! Then we have Emmanuel Sabbi, who was on the bench for the Hobro senior squad one day , the next he scored for the junior squad and then 4 days later debuted for the senior squad (I think that defines "hunger") Cameron Carter- Vickers scored on his debut, and Andrew Stadler scored 3 minutes into extra time to give his team the win and the top spot in their division.

The goalkeepers also continued their dominance with Ethan Horvath in Belgium, Kenneth Kronholm in Germany and Jeff Gal in Sweden all piling on their clean-sheet tally's. Young Brandon Austin gets a clean sheet for Tottenham U23's and Kris Devaux who had a stellar early season (before injury) is back and adding to his value in Norway

So its been a strange week, with so many of our 'senior' players injured or on the bench its been those unsung players who have come to the fore and kept the continual growth of American soccer in the minds of teams and fans alike around the world........to the lists

In Finland Kakkonen (Group A) it was a 1st v 2nd as PEPO and GK Paul Blanchette (90) visited KTP - the prize - top spot in the division. Unfortunately, what looked like a positive push, with a 60th minute goal, fell apart as home team KTP, hit back with 2 goals in 6 minutes, then a red card reduced PEPO's chances of a draw, and finally KTP hammered the nail home in ET for a 3 - 1 result. PEPO are now 1 point behind and in the #2 spot (only the top team moves on to the promotional play-off)

Mix Diskerud (90 +yellow) and Goteborg pulled even at the end of the first half, and entered the 2nd half at home with hope - that was crushed a few minutes later when visitors Djurgarden scored 2 goals in 2 minutes leaving Goteborg with a home loss, the final result 1 - 3

Bournemouth U23 won at Wigan U23, with Emerson Hyndman playing...that's all folks....Bournemouth did not issue a team list pre or pro match...we know that Emerson played at least 50 minutes, as a tweet mentioned a miss. Final result Wigan U23 1 - 0 Bournemouth U23
